Afrobeats singer Omah Lay has revealed how some senior colleagues inspired his rise to stardom.
In a recent interview, the ‘Soso’ singer named Davido, Wizkid, Burna Boy and Olamide has his footprints and prototype in his rise to prominence in the music industry.
According to him, the aforementioned artists helped him become who he is and get to the height he has attained.
Omah Lay stated that he is unsure of what he is doing differently that distinguishes him from his contemporaries and everyone else, but he is confident that he is being himself when creating his songs.

He said: “I feel like I wouldn’t have been here if it weren’t for the previous generation, Burna, Wiz, Davido and Olamide they are the reasons why I am here right now and I am doing it like this. Yeah, I can’t say for sure what exactly it is that I am doing differently; I’m just doing me and it is what it is.”
