Singer Portable Sentenced to Three Months in Prison Over Assault, Theft Charges

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has been sentenced to three months’ imprisonment by a Magistrate’s Court in Ogun State. Chief Magistrate Babajide Ilo delivered the ruling after Portable was found guilty of assault and theft of musical equipment during a 2022 altercation in Ifo.

Despite previously being granted bail, the artist missed several court dates, leading to his remand. He received a one-month sentence with a ₦10,000 fine for Count 1, and a two-month sentence with a ₦20,000 fine for Count 2.
