Controversial hip-hop artist Portable has issued a public apology to Fuji music icon King Saheed Osupa after previously referring to him as “big for nothing.”
The dispute arose after Osupa and his distribution team took down Portable’s song from streaming platforms, citing copyright infringement. The track, which featured a line from Osupa’s music, was removed from Apple Music and Spotify.
Following backlash for his remarks, Portable took to Instagram to express regret, attributing his outburst to his hot temper.
“King Saheed Osupa, Oba Orin, please don’t be offended. It was music money that caused this issue. When I went to collect payment for the song, I was told it had been taken down. Please, my father, forgive me and accept me as your child,” he pleaded.
His apology comes amid growing criticism of his perceived lack of respect for industry veterans.
