“I’m a Government Child” – Portable Begs Tinubu to Save Him from Ogun Govt’s Legal Battle

Embattled Nigerian singer, Portable, has called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene in his ongoing legal dispute with the Ogun State Government.

The artist, who is currently on the run, was arraigned alongside nine associates for allegedly assaulting officials from the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development.

The presiding Magistrate, Justice O.M. Somefun, granted Portable’s associates bail set at ₦5 million each, with sureties who must be licensed bond agents registered with the state government. The court adjourned the case to March 17 for further hearing.

Speaking from an undisclosed location, Portable denied the allegations and pleaded for his associates’ release. Meanwhile, his eldest sister, Gbemisola, claimed that the singer is acting under the influence of a spiritual spell cast by a family member.

In a video shared on social media on Tuesday, Portable made an emotional appeal to President Tinubu, urging him to ask Governor Dapo Abiodun for forgiveness on his behalf.

“President Tinubu, may you never cry over your children. Please help me beg Dapo Abiodun to forgive me. I am a government liability, a government child. Please, help me appeal to the governor to see me as one of his own,” he pleaded.

The case continues to generate public interest as legal proceedings unfold.
