“I Want More Children, Boys” — Tiwa Savage Opens Up on Motherhood

Afrobeats queen Tiwa Savage has revealed her hopes of expanding her family, sharing candid details about her journey and desire for more children.

In a recent sit-down with US podcaster Joe Budden, the award-winning singer disclosed that she is no longer freezing her eggs but is now actively considering having more kids.

“I want more children, boys. I have actually done egg freezing. I am just preparing. Like I said, I am not young. I am thinking about my age and want to get my eggs while they are still very healthy,” Tiwa said.

The Somebody’s Son crooner, already a proud mother, admitted she had undergone egg freezing in the past to secure her chances of growing her family.

Tiwa, who began her career as a backup vocalist for global icons including George Michael and Mary J. Blige, has since risen to become one of Afrobeats’ most influential female voices. With early 2010s hits like Kele Kele Love and Eminado, she cemented her place as a global music force.

Beyond her artistry, Tiwa has never shied away from speaking about her personal journey, often opening up about motherhood and her experiences as a single parent.

Now, with her eyes set on expanding her family, the singer makes it clear that she is ready for the next chapter — one that, she hopes, includes baby boys.
