Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has slammed fellow artist Bella Shmurda over comments suggesting a lack of musical synergy between the two.
In a recent interview on the Curiosity Made Me Ask podcast with Isbae U, Bella Shmurda revealed that he has no intention of collaborating with Portable, citing their contrasting styles and a desire to avoid trouble.
“I just don’t see the connection in the music. I don’t want wahala, I want peace,” Bella stated.
The comment, however, didn’t sit well with Portable, who fired back in a fiery video shared on his Instagram page. He criticized Bella Shmurda, branding him a “failed musician” and claiming that he is not on his level of fame or success.
“Anytime you wan do an interview, don’t mention my name again. You can’t feature me? I have been to America, London. No be who first blow o, na who dey blow dey go,” Portable said.
“Which connection wan join me and you? You are a failure. I no dey roll or do music with failures,” he added.
The public clash between the two singers has since sparked debate among fans on social media, with many weighing in on the long-running trend of drama within the Nigerian music industry.
