Don Jazzy: Our female artistes work hard, yet receive less recognition

0

Music executive Don Jazzy believes that Nigerians are not very receptive towards female singers.
He expressed sadness over the fact that Nigerians don’t support female artists as much as male artists, despite the hard work put in by the female artists.

A netizen with the username @Lahon199x raised concerns about this, stating that female Nigerian artists have a better chance of becoming global A-list stars than they do in Nigeria.

The X user wrote: “Nigerians in general are still not receptive to Female music

“You will see female dominating or at least equal to the men in other countries’ music industry

“But In Nigeria? Our female artistes have more chances of being A-list globally than being A-list in Nigeria.”

Reposting his tweet, Don Jazzy wrote, “And it’s so sad. The women put in so much work.”
