Davido donates N250m to orphanage homes

Superstar singer and music executive, David Adeleke also known as Davido has donated N250 million to orphanages across Nigeria.

In a statement dated Friday, November 19, 2021 but released via his Twitter and Instagram pages on Saturday, November 20, 2021, the music star said he has set up a committee that will manage and distribute the money to the orphanage homes across the country.

This comes two days after the singer requested his friends, colleagues, fans and the public to send in donations for his birthday, as part of a N100million challenge.

David explained that he received a total of N200million for the challenge.

In addition to the N200m, he also made a personal donation of N50million, bringing the total amount to N250million, to be distributed to orphanage homes across the country.

The music star and father of three said his goal is to raise funds every year as part of activities to mark his birthday.

He prayed that his colleagues and friends would continue to support his benevolent act.
