A Magistrate Court in Sabo, Yaba, Lagos, on Tuesday cleared popular musician Abdulazeez Fashola, widely known as Naira Marley, and socialite Sam Larry of any involvement in the death of singer Aloba Oladimeji Ilerioluwa, popularly known as Mohbad.

The ruling followed months of intense speculation and legal proceedings surrounding the controversial case.

Magistrate Ejiro Kubenje, while reading the legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), declared that Naira Marley had no case to answer.

The court also discharged Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Primeboy, and Mohbad’s former manager, Opere Babatunde.

However, the DPP recommended the prosecution of auxiliary nurse Feyisayo Ogedengbe and Mohbad’s friend, Ayobami Sadiq, for reckless and negligent acts, violating Section 251 (e) of the Lagos State Criminal Law, Ch C.17, Vol.3, 2015.
