Africa Magic Opens Entries for the 11th Edition of the Viewers’ Choice Awards

Africa Magic, in collaboration with MultiChoice, has officially opened submissions for the 11th edition of the prestigious Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs). The announcement was made by Busola Tejumola, the Executive Head of Content and Channels for MultiChoice West Africa, in a statement released on Monday.

The entry period for the AMVCAs began on December 23, 2024, and will run until January 31, 2025. The awards aim to celebrate exceptional talent, creativity, and innovation within the African film, television, and entertainment industry. The AMVCAs provide a platform to recognize the continent’s finest storytellers, performers, and production professionals.

Filmmakers, producers, production companies, and creators are encouraged to submit their works, including films, made-for-television movies, and television series that were broadcast or publicly screened between December 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024. The submitted works will be considered for recognition at one of Africa’s most renowned awards events.

Tejumola expressed her excitement about the upcoming edition, emphasizing that the AMVCAs have grown into a beacon of excellence, celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of African storytelling. “We are thrilled to open the doors once again for talented creatives across the continent to showcase their remarkable work to the world,” she said.

The 11th AMVCA is set to be a grand celebration of African entertainment, highlighting the achievements of talented creatives and providing them with an opportunity to be honored for their contributions. The event will be broadcast live on Africa Magic channels across the continent, ensuring that millions of viewers can experience the glamour and excitement of the ceremony.
