Dr. Olufemi Olaleye, the embattled medical director of the Optical Cancer Care Foundation, was given a double life sentence on Tuesday for defiling his wife’s niece, 16, by an Ikeja Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence Court.
The two counts of defilement and sexual assault by penetration against Olaleye were proven by the prosecution, according to Justice Rahman Oshodi, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
According to Oshodi, the evidence presented in court against the defendant was convincing and demonstrated without a shadow of a doubt.
He claimed that the confessional statement the defendant made in front of his attorney, Mr Olalekan Buruji, and the DPO of Anthony Police Station, in which he expressed regret for his actions, established that he had committed the crimes.
The judge said that the oral statement, which the defendant denied, had the NBA seal of Buruji on it, and his denial did not hold water.
“You are a dangerous offender and you must be ashamed,” he said
