President Bola Tinubu presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House in Abuja today.
The meeting, which commenced at about 1 p.m. at the council of chambers, was attended by the ministers and National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, and the Secretary General of the Federation (SGF), George Akume.
It would be recalled that Tinubu shifted the weekly FEC meeting from Wednesday to Monday.
The Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, who made the announcement, stated that the meeting would only be held when pressing issues were to be addressed by the president.
The Federal Executive Council is a constitutional body where government policies are debated and approved by ministers, with the President and Vice President as Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively.
