Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and employees in Ondo state battled during the two-day labor union warning strike. According to the footage obtained by ThisNigeria, some employees resisted being chased out of the office complex, ending in a heated argument.
Workers were forced out of their offices at the state Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Health, and other ministries in Alagbaka by labor leaders.
The National Labour Congress (NLC) Chairman, Comrade Victor Amoko, who oversaw the warning strike, praised it as a success, noting that the strike was for all Nigerian workers, not only those in Ondo State.
According to Amoko, the Federal Government has done little to mitigate the impact of the loss of fuel subsidies on Nigerian employees and the general people.
Following the difficulty caused by President Bola Tinubu’s elimination of fuel subsidies during his inaugural speech, the NLC leadership called for a two-day warning strike.
