0

The Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, has decided to go on strike on August 2nd, after giving the Federal Government a seven-day deadline to reverse all measures seen to be anti-poor. The recent gasoline price increase is a major source of concern for the NLC.

According to reports, the NLC has urged all of its affiliates and state councils to immediately begin mobilizing employees and other Nigerians, including civil society partners, for a long-term strike and major protests if the government does not satisfy its demands.
