NAFDAC Warns Nigerians as Fake Cowbell Milk Floods Markets

ABUJA — The Federal Government has issued a stern warning to Nigerians over the circulation of counterfeit Cowbell Our Milk in markets across the country.

The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) raised the alarm in a statement released on its official website on Friday, confirming that the development was brought to light by Promasidor Nigeria Limited, the brand’s manufacturer and marketing authorisation holder.

According to NAFDAC, the fake product closely mimics the original Cowbell Our Milk 12g sachet, making it difficult for unsuspecting consumers to distinguish between the two.

“The use or consumption of counterfeit Cowbell ‘Our Milk’ presents serious health and safety risks,” the agency cautioned.

The regulatory body urged Nigerians to exercise vigilance when purchasing the product and to report suspicious items to the nearest NAFDAC office for prompt action.
