The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has extended the deadline for Hajj seat payments via bank draft, following a directive from the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON).
Director General of the board, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, announced the extension on Tuesday during an orientation workshop for staff and local government Hajj center officers at Grand Central Hotel. He confirmed that intending pilgrims now have until the first day of Ramadan to complete their payments.
Danbappa also revealed that the board has so far remitted over ₦22 billion to NAHCON on behalf of Kano State pilgrims.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, urged staff and Hajj center officers to intensify their efforts in ensuring a smooth pilgrimage process.
The Director General expressed appreciation to the Kano State Government for its continued support in addressing the board’s needs.
The orientation program featured key speakers, including Sheikh Muhammad Sani Ashir, Malam Nasiru Maccido, Pharmacist Abdulrashid Habib Ibrahim, and the board’s Director of Planning.
