The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has approved the full reopening of food markets and non-food markets in the state.
The Lagos Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Dr. Wale Ahmed, disclosed this in a statement that was made available by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Gawat Jubril, on Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
The statement noted that both markets can reopen every day of the week.
Dr. Ahmed said the state government took the decision to further enhance trade, commerce and mitigate the hardship of recent times and ensure that Lagosians can recover fast.
He further called on Lagosians to continue to observe all safety protocols and also directed that traders and their customers must adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocols for their safety and the citizenry at large.
