The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Mohammad, has sworn in Justice Husseini Baba-Yusuf as the Acting Chief Judge of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, while five judicial officers were also appointed to the position of Khadis of the FCT Shariah Court of Appeal.
Justice Mohammad charged the Acting Chief Judge and Khadis not to take their appointment for granted and admonished them to apply justice and equity in all their undertakings.
The Acting Chief Judge, however, assured Nigerians of an untainted Judiciary.
Justice Baba-Yusuf hails from Ankpa Local Government Area in Kogi State. He obtained his Bachelor of Law degree from the University of Lagos in 1983 and was called to the bar in 1984. He was then appointed as a High Court Judge in 1998.
