
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of candidates who participated in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise.
The announcement was made in a statement issued by JAMB’s Public Communication Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, who disclosed that candidates can now access their results through the Board’s approved result-checking platforms.
According to the Board, the release of the mop-up results marks the conclusion of the 2026 UTME examination process for affected candidates.
JAMB further revealed that it will immediately commence the ranking of candidates in preparation for the admission process across tertiary institutions nationwide. The Board added that the printing of admission letters is expected to begin before the weekend.
“Following the successful conclusion of the mop-up exercise and the release of the results, the Board will commence the ranking of candidates. Thereafter, the printing of admission letters is expected to begin before the weekend,” the statement read.
The examination body also expressed appreciation to candidates, parents, schools, and other stakeholders for their patience, understanding, and cooperation throughout the conduct of the 2026 UTME and the subsequent mop-up examination.
With the release of the mop-up results, attention now shifts to the admission phase as thousands of candidates await placement into tertiary institutions across the country.
