SDP’s Adewole Adebayo Accuses Tinubu of Paying Lip Service to Insecurity After Plateau Attack

Former Social Democratic Party (SDP) presidential candidate, Adewole Adebayo, has criticized President Bola Tinubu over the country’s persistent security challenges, describing the government’s response as mere lip service.

Adebayo made the remarks during a visit to Anguwan Rukuba in Plateau State, where a recent attack on Palm Sunday claimed the lives of at least 29 people and left several others injured.

Highlighting the ongoing loss of lives and destruction of property nationwide, Adebayo said the situation reflects a failure of leadership. He emphasized that the government has the capacity to protect citizens if there is genuine commitment.

“The criminals who carried out this attack are not stronger than the government. If there is seriousness, they can be identified and brought to justice. Tinubu is only paying lip service to the insecurity confronting the country,” he stated.

Offering condolences to the affected community, Adebayo assured residents of his support, urged vigilance, and called on authorities to take decisive measures to restore safety and prevent future attacks.
