2027: APC Chieftain Predicts Strong Diaspora Backing for Tinubu, Cites Economic Reforms

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Hajia Amina Suzuki, has expressed confidence that Nigerians both at home and abroad will rally behind President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the 2027 general elections, attributing the anticipated support to what she described as steady economic stabilization under the current administration.

Suzuki, who serves as the APC chairperson in France, made the remarks in a statement issued on Wednesday. She said the Tinubu-led government has successfully navigated Nigeria through challenging economic conditions and laid the groundwork for long-term fiscal stability.

According to her, the administration has restored discipline in public finances and introduced measures aimed at improving transparency, particularly within the oil and gas sector. She referenced the recent Presidential Executive Order mandating the direct remittance of oil revenues to the Federation Account as a significant step toward accountability.

“Nigeria’s economic narrative is changing for the better,” Suzuki stated. “From stabilizing public finances to ensuring transparency in oil revenue remittances, this administration has demonstrated a commitment to long-term economic reforms.”

She maintained that these reforms have bolstered public confidence in the government’s economic direction and positioned the president and his deputy for broad-based support ahead of the 2027 polls.
