Popular Nigerian musician, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has publicly expressed gratitude to his father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, for standing by him amid the ongoing paternity controversy involving an alleged baby mama, Ayo Labinjoh.
The development follows an open letter written last week by Ayo Labinjoh’s teenage daughter, Aanu Adeleke, who claimed Davido is her biological father and demanded that he submit himself to a paternity test.
Reacting to the allegation, Davido took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to deny ever having any relationship with Ayo Labinjoh. The singer stated that five separate DNA tests previously conducted confirmed that Aanu Adeleke is not his daughter.
However, Ayo Labinjoh dismissed the DNA test results, describing them as fake, and continued to insist that Davido is the father of her child.
Amid the controversy, Davido’s father, Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, addressed the issue during a press conference on Wednesday. He revealed that a paternity test had been conducted on both Davido and his cousin, fellow musician B-Red, in a bid to put the matter to rest.
Reacting to his father’s public intervention, Davido shared a photo of himself and Dr. Adeleke on his Instagram page on Thursday, expressing appreciation for the support.
“Thank you my loving Father,” the singer wrote.
The paternity saga continues to generate widespread attention on social media, with fans and observers closely following developments surrounding the case.
