APC Oyo Endorses Tinubu for 2027

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has formally thrown its weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027, declaring unanimous support during a massive Stakeholders’ Summit held on Friday at the party’s Secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan.

Leaders at the gathering stressed the urgency of strengthening party unity, rebuilding structures, and consolidating electoral gains ahead of the next general election.

Speaking at the summit, Senator Teslim Folarin — Oyo’s Ambassador for Renewed Hope — said the party is committed to improving on its 2023 presidential outing by delivering at least a 35% increase in votes for President Tinubu in 2027.

“Unity remains the foundation of any meaningful political progress,” Folarin said. “No strategy, no matter how brilliant, can succeed in an atmosphere of division. Our guiding principle must be the One APC, One Tinubu Project.”

The high-profile event drew prominent figures such as Senators Hosea Agboola Alleluyah, Hamzat Adeseun, Yinus Akintunde, Shittu Adebayo, Akinola Alabi, Dr Ibrahim Olaifa, Tolulope Akande-Sodipe, Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, Moshood Erubami, Alhaji Fatal Ibikunle, and chairmen of all 33 local government areas.

Folarin emphasised that the Renewed Hope agenda aligns with Tinubu’s expectations and requires cohesive mobilisation across all party structures.

“Our grassroots organs must be vibrant and connected to the people. Every ward and every community must feel the presence of the APC. That is how we deliver an even more convincing victory for President Tinubu,” he stated, adding that internal disputes in the Oyo chapter had been largely resolved.

Minister of Power and governorship hopeful, Chief Bayo Adelabu, described the summit as the largest APC stakeholders’ gathering since the 2023 polls, declaring that peace and unity had fully returned to the party.

“We are now speaking with one voice. There is no faction, no division. Reconciliation is already 90% complete,” Adelabu said. “If elections were held tomorrow, it would be a landslide victory for Oyo APC.”

He confirmed that delegates unanimously adopted President Tinubu as the party’s sole candidate for the 2027 presidential election.

Senators Ayoade Adeseun and Fatai Buhari also urged members to put aside differences and work together, noting that the massive turnout reflected the success of ongoing reconciliation efforts.

Former Oyo APC Chairman, Chief Akin Oke, praised the renewed cooperation within the party, describing the atmosphere as one of unity and inclusiveness.

Remi Oseni, representing Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency, said the meeting aligned with President Tinubu’s reconciliation drive to reposition the party for victory.

“The outcome shows that many of us must return home to enlighten members that the party has resolved to work in unity,” he said. “If this continues, the 2027 elections will be a walkover.”

With the Oyo APC declaring itself stronger and more unified than ever, the party says it is now fully focused on ensuring President Tinubu’s re-election and strengthening its electoral dominance in the state.
