BREAKING: Nigeria defeat Germany to clinch bronze in FIFA U17 women’s world cup

Nigeria’s Flamingos have defeated Germany to clinch a consolatory bronze medal in the FIFA U-17 World Cup in India.

The match ended in a 3-3 draw at a regulation time which resulted in a penalty shootout. The penalty then ended 3-2 in Nigeria’s favour.

Flamingos are the second African side to achieve this feat.

In the first half, Nigeria’s forward, Opeyemi Ajakaye broke her goal drought with her brilliant opener for the Flamingos.
