Adele fans feel her 'pain' as she releases first song in six years

Adele fans have gone wild over Adele’s first track in six years, Easy On Me, as they shared they can feel her “pain”.

The 33-year-old, who recently revealed when the full album will be out, released the brand new single across all streaming platforms on Thursday 14 October at midnight.

Delighted fans couldn’t wait to listen to song and get all the feels as they heard her reflect on her divorce from Simon Konecki, who she shares son Angelo with.

Flocking to Twitter, Adele’s 26.5 million followers dissected the lyrics of the single, including ones that read: “You can’t deny how hard I have tried/I changed who I was to put you both first/But now I give up”.

Feeling the heartbreak she went through, they then shared their own opinions on both the lyrics as well as the black and white music video.

One person wrote: “the best masterpiece comes from pain, I cried a lot with this clip, it just shows that regardless of the situation and the suffering we go through, everything is overcome and a better version of ourselves is born #Adele #EasyOnMe,” alongside three pleading face emojis, three heart eyes emojis, three clapping hands emojis and three celebration hands emojis.

Another said: “I’ve changed who i was to put you first. but now I’ve give up. PAIN”.

A third shared: “I just knew we were getting a good album/song from Adele. It takes real heartbreak to sing about certain kinds of pain”.

While a fourth added: “This song is so raw and powerful. U can feel Adele’s pain and feelings in a record imagine this song live Pov: Let it go what’s not for u”.

The beginning of the music video shows scenes from a boarded up house with white sheets over the furniture before Adele is seen looking out the window.

The hitmaker, who recently quit alcohol to prepare her voice for her comeback, offers a small smile before picking up a small suitcase, placing some dark sunglasses on and leaving.

Walking down a driveway, she’s then seen speaking to someone on the phone as she says: “Oh hi darling, you alright? Yeah, I’m good, yeah, all good. Everything’s done, everything is packed and I’m going to get on the road now, about to leave.”

Looking back one more time, she continues: “Well hopefully just a couple of hours but if I’m late, go ahead and start without me, all good.

“I mean I will probably have bad signal.”

Repeating herself she continues: “I said I probably won’t have good signal! Yes, I can hear you perfectly, can you hear me? Oh for God’s sake. Here we go again…”.

As the wind continues to blow, Adele puts the phone down and gets into her car before the track begins to play and she belts out: “There ain’t no gold in this river/That I’ve been washin’ my hands in forever/I know there is hope in these waters/But I can’t bring myself to swim/When I am drowning in this silence/Baby, let me in”.

The video eventually turns to color as she says she gives up on changing herself.
