BREAKING: After hours of siege, EFCC arrests Okorocha

After hours of siege to his Maitama residence in Abuja, earlier on Tuesday, the  Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, finally arrested former Governor Rochas Okorocha.

It was gathered that the embattled ex-Imo governor Rochas Okorocha was whisked away by EFCC operatives, who shot sporadically to disperse a crowd of supporters who had come to show solidarity with the Imo Senator.

The agency had broken into the residence after gunshots were heard in the vicinity.

The EFCC had also insisted that journalists must leave the premises, forcefully ejecting everyone in the residence.

A Channels Television cameraman, Kabiru Owoyemi, was among those brutalised during the clearance. He was hit with a gun on the neck.

The operative also used teargas to disperse journalists from the scene.
